They also contain sucrose and sodium.Sterculia is a vegetable gum obtained from the karaya tree.Normacol acts by providing dietary fibre to assist in the relief of constipation.Store in a dry place below 25°CKeep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.Use only if carton seals are unbroken.Do not use if bag is torn.
Natural high fibre granules
(Read the package leaflet before use):Adults:1-2 heaped teaspoonfuls (5ml spoonfuls).Take this once or twice a day after meals.Do not take Normacol just before going to bed.Children (6-12 years):The dose is half as much as for adults.Direction for use:1) Put the granules on your tongue from a spoon or your hand.Just take a few at a time if that is easier. Alternatively, you can sprinkle Normacol on soft food such as yoghurt.2) Swallow them down with plenty of water or cool drink. Do not chew or crush the granules.If you do not have a bowel movement after taking the granules for 4 days, stop the treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.Normacol is gluten free.
