There are a number of different types of collagen; the most prevalent two in the body are Types 1 and 3 with Type 1 being the most abundant and being present in almost every type of tissue.
Bone contains almost exclusively Type 1 Collagen. The collagen in bone provides structural strength to the bone tissue and prevents bone fragility.
