Directions / How to Use

Adults and children over 12 years: Take 1-2 tablets as required after meals and before going to bed, up to 4 times a day or as directed.
Products containing mannitol and xylitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
Not recommended for children under 6 years.
Take as required after meals and befor going to bed, up to 4 times a day or as directed.
Chew tablets thoroughly before swallowing and follow with water if desired.
Ensure blister pack is unbroken before first use.

Gaviscon Double Strength works in two ways to effectively relieve the symptoms of both heartburn and indigestion.
1) The sodium alginate in Gaviscon Dual Action begins to form a thick layer (known as a raft) on top of the stomach contents once it makes contact with the stomach acid. The raft acts as a strong physical barrier and helps to keep stomach contents in the stomach where they belong and not in the food pipe where they hurt.
2) The antacid neutralises excess stomach acid to relieve pain and discomfort of indigestion.
Other Information:
Does not contain aluminium, sugar or gluten.
The maximum total daily intake (16 tablets) for adults contains 886mg of sodium (take into account if on a low sodium diet), 9.6g of mannitol and 4.6g of xylitol.
