What is Ashwagandha?
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is an herb that is extensively used in Ayurveda, the traditional herbal system in India. 
Ashwagandha is used as a general tonic and "adaptogen", helping the body adapt to temporary normal stress.  
In addition, preliminary data suggest that Ashwagandha supports a healthy immune system.

In Ayurveda, Ashwagandha is generally considered Rasayana, a substance able to influence life forces towards a healthy balance and an integrated relationship with the environment.
In the west it is known as an adaptogen which enhances the individual’s healthy reaction to challenges of a physical, chemical or biological nature. 
Studies have shown Ashwagandha may promote healthy sleep patterns (the name somnifera is Latin for ‘sleep-inducing’). 
Ashwagandha contains substances known as ‘withanolides’ and it is these bioactive constituents that provide the adaptogenic effects.
Directions:
Adults:Take 1 capsule 2 to 3 times daily.
Cautions:
For adults only.
Not recommended for pregnant/nursing women.
Consult physician if taking medication or have a medical condition (especially gastrointestinal conditions, including ulcers).
This product may cause digestive upset in some sensitive individuals. 
If you experience any gastrointestinal discomfort after using this product, discontinue use
